Workshop Description:

Learn about the new remote testing options provided by HiSET® and GED®. This workshop will cover strategies for preparation and explore the differences and similarities between the tests. Time will be included for all your questions about these new testing options. 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to show their students how to access these new testing options. 
  2. Participants will learn how to adjust their curriculum to help prepare students for this new testing platform. 
  3. Participants will be able to teach their students the similarities and differences between the GED and HiSET. 


Michael A. Farma, M.Ed., Adult and Community Learning Services (DESE), has worked for the City of Boston for over 20 years designing and overseeing GED and HiSET testing. Mr. Farma now oversees High School Equivalency (HSE) testing centers throughout Massachusetts. 

This workshop is free to staff of all Massachusetts non-profit ABE and ESOL programs.
