Allison Reid’s first introduction to adult education was a volunteer position in a GED class. Since then, she’s taught GED and HISET classes for a decade and led the Holyoke Tutor/Mentor Program (HTM) from 2013-2020. At HTM she placed volunteers in classes at five GED/HISET and ESOL programs. During her tenure volunteer retention increased, teacher satisfaction topped 90% and she expanded volunteer training. She writes about teaching, learning and math online at mathacognitive.com.
This workshop is free to staff of all Massachusetts non-profit ABE and ESOL Programs.
