Workshop Description:
I wish someone had told me that!
Secrets for teachers new to the adult ESL classroom. Let's talk about how to reach students in one class, even though they have different levels of English. I'll share some tricks to teaching pronunciation, and how to ensure teacher immediacy and increased student engagement. Bring your questions and concerns!

Workshop Learning Objectives - Participants will:

  • Teachers will be able to teach pronunciation correctly to avoid future fossilization of bad habits
  • Describe and use the 80/20 rule
  • Increase student speaking and engagement in class
