Workshop Description:
Our students are on Instagram all day. This workshop will suggest ways to make quick games and teach English using this platform where they are already engaged. Once you get started, it's easy! 

Workshop Learning Objectives - Participants will be able to:

  • help their students create grammar games on Instagram to reinforce lessons;
  • increase student listening skills by sharing 20-second TV show video clips;
  • engage students through polls and questions that can be answered publicly.

Deborah Centamore has been teaching ESL since 1994 and has taught abroad, and at Staples and Bose headquarters. She runs workshops for DESE through the System for Adult Basic Education, has been the Director of International Students for a private school, and is currently the Dean of Students and Volunteer Coordinator at Framingham Adult ESL+. 

This workshop is free to staff of all Massachusetts non-profit ABE and ESOL Programs.
