Workshop Description:

This workshop is designed for ABE administrators and tech helpers. Google’s G Suites for Education can offer your school or nonprofit an astounding variety of services at no cost, but there is a lot to learn as you set it up. Framingham Adult ESL Plus has gone through this process, and Dr. O’Connor is eager to show you what they learned, including

  • the apps and services included in G Suites and their benefits,
  • the different levels of G Suite services and how to decide which level of G Suite service is appropriate for your needs,
  • a description of the process, including a list of challenges and the resources needed to address them.

Kevin O'Connor is the Director of Framingham Adult ESL Plus, one of the largest publicly-funded adult ESL programs in the state. Dr. O'Connor has been working in adult education for 25 years. He has a decade of experience as a teacher in a variety of adult education settings and has been in the vanguard of integrating technology into ABE instruction since 2000. His program has recently begun using G Suites for Education to ensure robust instruction for students studying at a distance.

This workshop is free to staff of all Massachusetts non-profit ABE and ESOL programs.
