Identify students with disabilities and acquire the stragies needed to best support them
-
Explore tools that can help you to better work with students with disabilities
Presenter:
Kelly has taught HiSET/GED, college transition, and job readiness classes for X-Cel Education in Boston for the last 14 years. In 2018, he helped design the Boston Common Accessibility Assessment Tool to assist programs in identifying students with hidden learning disabilities. He has worked with several students who have learning disabilities (or suspected learning disabilities) and recently, with two blind students studying to pass the HiSET.
This workshop is free to staff of all Massachusetts non-profit ABE and ESOL Programs.
First Literacy does not receive any state or federal funding and we work very hard to raise 100% of our budget from private sources. Please consider making a donation to First Literacy so we can continue to offer FREE high quality professional development workshops.
