The GED Testing Program in Massachusetts: Helping Students Succeed

This workshop will equip both new and experienced educators with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to help students succeed on the GED® test. We will explore student performance on the GED test from both a national perspective and through data specific to Massachusetts. The session will also cover key aspects of the program, including an overview of the GED test, Massachusetts testing policies, the GED Ready® Official Practice Test, our new mobile app GED & Me™, and the GED Manager™ system. You will also discover a wealth of teaching resources and student support tools designed to boost readiness, build confidence, and maximize success on test day. Q&A is encouraged. Let's get your questions answered!

Presenter:
Scott Salesses joined GED Testing Service in 2011 and has worked with many states across the U.S. as their lead contact from GEDTS. Currently, Scott is the Director of Strategic Accounts and Test Security. In this role, Scott works as the primary contact from GED Testing Service for several states in the U.S. as well as a focus on GED test security. He regularly interacts with adult education programs, GED testing centers, correctional educators as well as state leadership and other stakeholders involved with GED testing. Scott resides in Boston, MA.     

This workshop is free to staff of all Massachusetts non-profit ABE and ESOL Programs.
