Exploring the HiSET Program: Updates, Resources, and Strategies for Success

The HiSET program continues to expand opportunities for adult learners by offering a flexible, accessible pathway to a high school equivalency diploma. This interactive session will provide educators, test center staff, and advocates with the latest updates on the HiSET program, including test features, scoring, and accommodations. Presenters will also highlight effective instructional strategies, showcase recent rebranding and website enhancements, and share resources designed to better support both learners and educators. Participants will leave with practical tools and knowledge to help guide students toward academic achievement and career readiness.

Presenter:

Marquetta Vital is the HiSET Community Manager at PSI Services and a dedicated education professional with a deep passion for adult education and student development. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA). This blend of education and business expertise has allowed her to create meaningful, practical solutions in both academic and professional settings. As HiSET Community Manager, she has the privilege of supporting adult learners nationwide, expanding access to education, and empowering individuals to achieve their academic and career goals. Adult education holds a special place in her heart, and she is passionate about creating opportunities for adults to enhance their skills, broaden their knowledge, and transform their lives. 

This workshop is free to staff of all Massachusetts non-profit ABE and ESOL Programs.
